Teddy had sent a present and cookies we made to his private student, an eleven year old boy who goes to an international school. He tutors him twice a week in math and English. So, his mother bought us a cute cake from Daimaru. It was quite tasty. We cut it in half and ate it. That may sound sick, but it was a small cake:

So, on Saturday, I had to go to yet another speech contest. This one was for the entire prefecture, with 15 speakers. Sadly, Ayako did not win a prize, but Riho won first prize! So, she will go onto the regional speech contest on December 23rd ( Read more... )

So, on Saturday, apparently somewhere in Japan there was a typhoon, so it rained for most of the day. So, we decided not to go to Arashiyama and instead to find something mostly indoors to do.
